Week 3
Week Three: Today I noticed that the San Pedros (SP) have developed a "flower" for a lack of better words...? While it's not actually a flower, there is something white and thread-y emerging from the tops...(hopefully this is not the infamous fungus :() The Giant Saguaros are still about the same..counted 8 or nine. That's it for now, also took a cool picture of my largest Century Plant..pretty obvious which one that is.

Week 1 point 5
I was going to post at weekly intervals, but am excited this evening to see much new growth. I have 3 seeds germinating from the saguaro and the San Pedros are going nutz! Even seeing the first color change :-)

Week 1
On August 4, 2010, I planted about 70-80 seeds in one container, the Trichocereus Pachanoi (aka the San Pedro Cactus) and around 40 in the other, those being the Carnegiea Gigantea (aka the Giant Saguaro). Week one had ended with around a dozen of the San Pedro's already germinating and I'm guessing the days ahead will only reveal more. This is a very fast growing cactus, thus the reason for planting so many. The Saguaro may take several weeks before they start to shoot up, from what I've read.
